We do web design. What to say about it?
Well, we like simple. We don’t like fancy gizmos that slow down a page loading. We don’t like random people appearing in front of a web page telling you quite how friendly a customer service department is—especially when it isn’t true. We really don’t like visiting a web page and being bombarded with music. (Unless it’s a music site, but that’s just obvious.)
We’ve done sites in HTML and Flash, and we currently favour WordPress. We’ve done content management systems and we’re developing ecommerce.
We could go on. But we think you’ll get a better idea of what we do, and what we do well, by visiting sites we’ve done for other people. Click on the icons to visit.
Catherine Max Consulting
chose s2dd to build their new website. The practice focuses on sustainability in health and social care and works for an enviable range of clients. The new site incorporates case studies, testimonials and Catherine’s Twitter feed; the simple but engaging design is enhanced by plant photography by Marco Wamelink
We’ve built the first site for Seahorse Aquaculture
, a Highlands-based company specializing in the design and build of fish farms. Our work also included designing their smart new logo.
is a sustainability consultancy whose founders have worked with some of the world’s best-known organizations
. When they launched, we produced a brochure site in Flash; as they grew, we produced a new site based on WordPress to reflect their need to add new content themselves; the current site is the third iteration, reflecting their growing success.
We’ve built a new site for The Millcroft Hotel & Self-Catering Apartments
in Gairloch. The clients wanted to keep the look, feel and colours of their previous site, but needed to be able to update elements such as the tariffs themselves. We’ve made them a site that meets these requirements, while smartening up the appearance, and incorporating new fonts and a new logo we designed for them.
Evenfield Land & Garden Services
chose s2dd to design their new website, after bad experiences in the past with web designers taking large up-front payments and then going out of business. Evenfield offer a very broad range of landscaping services in and around the West Midlands, and they brave the sort of weathers that make us glad that we work indoors. We worked closely with Evenfield to achieve their goals, including putting them in touch with a designer who created their splendid new logo. And along the way, we’ve shown them that not all web designers take your money and disappear…
NB Lighting Design
, a consultancy specialising in residential lighting, came to us to update their website. We’ve updated their website by adding a new gallery—and later adding images of new projects—as well as introducing web fonts and generally tweaking the code.
Chamberlain Wines, a specialist wine merchant based in the south of England, supplies restaurants and individuals throughout the UK. They came to us for a brochure site; we’re currently developing their ecommerce site.
